IMPORTANT NOTICE

KVAC London : Royal Mail Issue

In recent weeks, we have identified issues with Royal Mail deliveries. Despite requesting next-day delivery service, delivery times have been inconsistent, and some requests have been lost.

Please note that KVAC is not responsible for the postal service, and any passport loss resulting from delivery issues rests solely with the applicant or Royal Mail. Therefore, we highly recommend that you pick up your passport and visa directly at the KVAC office.

If you have any problems with your postal service, please contact Royal Mail directly. Once again, KVAC is not responsible for postal delivery.

REGARDING APPLICANT WITHDRAWAL: Visa denial + Restriction on visa issuance in cases of interference with KVAC operations

Recently, there has been an increase in applicants who, without considering the general visa processing time, request withdrawal of their applications citing reasons such as passport retrieval. This has disrupted the normal procedure of the visa application process, causing inconvenience to other applicants.
Therefore, effective March 25, 2024, applicants who submit visa applications without considering the general processing time and subsequently request withdrawal due to reasons such as simple passport retrieval (excluding humanitarian cases) may result in visa denial.

Furthermore, unannounced visits, unauthorized entry or intrusions, repetitive and indiscriminate communication (via email, phone), verbal abuse (shouting), insults, or threats that disrupt business operations may result in restrictions on visa issuance in accordance with the Ministry of Justice's ‘Guidelines for Sanctions against Individual Disrupting Visa Operations’ with a minimum duration of one year.

NEW REQUIREMENT FOR C3 MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA

Effective March 1, 2024, C-3 type applicants for a multiple-entry visa must have a documented stay of more than 2 years in countries where KVAC is located.
Please note that fees for multiple visa applications with ineligible cases are non-refundable, regardless of the visa outcome.

NEW VISA FEE

From January 1, 2025 to June 28, 2025, the new visa fee applies.
Visa fees vary according to nationality, visa type, and the number of entries, please check HERE for information on your visa fees.

VISA DECISIONS AND CONDUCT GUIDELINES - VISA REJECTION

Upon receipt of your visa decision from the Consul, it is important to understand that the decision is final and cannot be reversed under any circumstances. In the event that your visa application is rejected, and you are dissatisfied with the outcome, we kindly emphasize the necessity of maintaining respectful and appropriate conduct. The use of abusive language, verbal harassment, or continuous and repetitive contact with the embassy or visa application center can result in repercussions under the 'Standards for Disciplinary Action for Visa Interference' as outlined by the Ministry of Justice. Please be aware that such actions may lead to visa issuance restrictions, which could extend for a period of up to 3 years.

KVAC VISA APPLICATION PROCESSING TIME

The general visa processing time is not guaranteed if you have any missing required documents. The visa application processing time is only calculated once the Embassy starts to review your application. You will be informed by the KVAC team if your application is complete and ready to be submitted to the Korean Embassy in Berlin.

Once the Embassy starts to review your application, it may take up to 3 weeks to receive your visa result.

During peak seasons, which vary depending on the country and the specific KVAC office, processing times may be longer. Generally, peak seasons occur during:

Summer (June to August)
Winter (December to February)
During peak seasons, processing times may extend to 3–8 weeks.

To ensure timely visa processing, we strongly recommend planning ahead and submitting your application well in advance(max.3 months) of your intended departure date. Please note that your flight schedule cannot be used to expedite visa processing.

PHISHING SITE WARNING

  • We would like to bring to your attention the presence of fraudulent visa agency websites that claim to be official sites for entering Korea. These fraudulent sites impersonate the government of the Republic of Korea and demand large sums of money, often resulting in financial loss and other forms of fraud.
  • We have recently identified a fraudulent website, koreaonlinevisa.com, k-eta.co, evisa-go-kr.online, checkvisa.vn which are impersonating the K-ETA portal and Korea Visa Portal. Please note that the official websites for visa applications are the Korea Visa Portal [ www.visa.go.kr], KVAC Europe Website [www.visaforkorea.eu], and K-ETA Portal [www.k-eta.go.kr].
