In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea are strengthening immigration regulations in visa issuance.

Starting from April 13, 2020, the visa waiver for European citizens is suspended, thus it is necessary to apply for a visa even for short stays (within 90 days) in the Republic of Korea.

In the effort to limit the spread of the virus, only single-entry visas can be issued by the Embassies and Consulates of the Republic of Korea. Please take this into consideration when you submit your visa application and pay your visa fees.

Please note that starting from January 8, 2021, all foreign nationals entering Korea must submit a negative PCR test result at the arrival. The PCR test results must be issued within 72 hours from the date of departure.
